ABOUT ME
I am passionate about equality
I am a disabled person from a black and minority ethnic background, and an E&D consultant with fifteen years of experience as a trainer and specialist adviser. I spent twelve years as an academic at the Universities of Oxford, York and Surrey and have written seminal works on the experience of BME disabled people and social care.
As a trainer, I have run disability and E&D training courses for Public Sector organisations such as the NHS, the Department of Health and Social Care, numerous Local Authorities, Universities and voluntary sector organisations. Since 2013, I have also run the Calibre Leadership Programmes for disabled staff at a number of Universities and NHS Trusts.

The Calibre Leadership programme is a unique course for disabled staff in Higher Education, the NHS and wider public sector. It is unique because it addresses the problems disabled staff face in the workplace as well as enables organisations to better support them. Each programme is a bespoke design, tailored specifically for each client and their employees.
Personal Assistant Training
I have delivered A Personal Assistant (PA) training to PA employers, social workers and prospective PA's themselves. A PA is a new kind of care worker. Their role is to support their service using employer to live the life they choose through enhancing choice and control. It is a role that requires specific training.
